Fee structure:

  • We now will accept a one time payment of $36.00 per player, on or before the first week of play. This will pay all of your fees to the end of the league, ie. 16 weeks @ $2.25 per week. Another option is to pay $12.00 per week for the first 3 weeks of play.  The fee's are distributed in the following way:

    • $18.00 goes for the end of league Scotch Doubles tournament prize pool, door prizes and food at our party.

    • $18.00 for administrative fee. - From the administrative fee, the secretary will provide weekly stats, this web site, and will provide 1st / 2nd / 3rd place Team and 1st place male and female Trophy's at the end of the Season.

  • If you leave the league for any reason, all monies contributed will not be returned.

  • The person that the team finds to replace you will be credited the fee

  • Your total fee must be paid by the 3rd week of play.

  • There are no other payments required to play, however, during the course of League play, we may have 50/50 pots, or raffles for Cues, cases, etc.

General:

  • We will play by BCA Rules (some minor differences noted below).

  • A one-hour warm up time will be granted to all league members prior to league play.

  • Fast Eddies will not collect or be given any portion of the $36 flat play fee.

  • Good sportsmanship at all times. Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in removal from the league.  Definition: Throwing anything, shouting, cursing, shoving, and being disrespectful to fellow players, wait staff, or other unaccepted behaviors.

  • Teams will have a 15 minute grace after start time. If that team is not ready their opponents have the option to take a forfeit, agree to wait a little longer (absolute max is 30 min), or reschedule. A Reschedule must be before the next league night.

  • Once the match starts players are not permitted to practice on another table. If the player insists on practicing he will have to forfeit his/her match.

  • If a player is absent two consecutive weeks without notifying his team, that player will be dropped from the league.

  • You must call your shot, i.e. the ball and the pocket. If the shot is not obvious (caroms, combinations, banks, etc.), and the shooting player does not call it, it is loss of turn. It is not a foul, therefore, it is not ball in hand. The player simply loses his turn and it is the next players shot from where the balls lay.

Substitutes:

  • Substitutes are acceptable. If a player requests a sub, it means they will be absent that night.

  • Substitutes must be amateur players. Ringers (big money players) are not allowed to sub.

  • Substitutes can only sub for 4 weeks (on one team) out of the league. For example, John subs for Team A 4 weeks, he can still sub for Team B up to 4 weeks. If the team using subs does not have a permanent 3rd player, the other team members will need to pay for the 3rd player on their team as each team is REQUIRED to pay $108. ($36.00 each). The fees collected are used for the end of league tournament prize money, trophey's, food, door prizes, and administration fees. It is not fair to other teams for one team to be short on payments.

  • If a team cannot get a sub there are two choices:

    • If the opposing team agrees, the absent players average minus 3 can be used for his/her score. However the absent players average will be added to the team average just as if the player was present.

    • Or give the absent player zero's.

    • This will be the opposing teams choice.

  • No substitutes on position round night, unless it is agreeable with your opponents.

Coaching:

  • Coaching will be allowed under the following guide lines:

    • Player must signify a time out and ask a member of their team for advice.

    • Only one person to coach at a time, NO SPECTATOR COACHING.

    • Unlimited time outs per game can be called.

    • Max of one minute per coaching time.

    • No marking on table.

    • After receiving coaching the coach will back away from table.

    • Failure to adhere to the coaching rules will give opponent right to call a foul and receive ball in hand.

    • BCA rules do not allow coaching; however our league finds it acceptable for us amateurs.

Scoring:

  • Score Keeping: A win is counted as 10, loser counts the balls they pocketed.

  • Averages:

    • The first two weeks of play the men averages are 8’s and the women averages are 7’s.

    • After the first two weeks of play, the weekly averages are calculated by the total number of points divided by the total number of games played.

    • A players Average can never be lower than a 5 that is the minimum play average.

  • Handicaps:

    • The total average of each team member is added.

    • The team with the lower average is subtracted from the higher average and that is the Handicap.

  • TIE BREAKER per ROUND: If there Is a tie in any round including (Handicap) whoever  has the the two Wins (10's) is awarded the win for that round.

  • TIE BREAKER on Total points scored:  When there is a tie, rounds and games wins are the same, there will be SHOOT OUT.

    • The Cue Ball will be placed in the center of the head string and the 8 ball placed on the spot.

    • Each team member will attempt to make the 8 ball in a called pocket.

    • The first team to make the 8 ball will win if the opponent misses.

Final rule on a dispute will be decided by the league President Joe Sanchez, Vice President Shelly Baker, Treasurer Robyn LeGris, or Secretary Tim Tilden.
